Kulgam, April 27: Kulgam Police rescued the minor girl who was kidnapped and arrested the person involved in committing the crime.
Police Station Kulgam on 25.04.21 received a written complaint for assistance from a complainant stating that his daughter (name withheld) had been kidnapped by one person namely Sanik Ahmad Khanday S/O Abdul Rashid Khanday R/O Tarigam.
Acting promptly a Case with FIR No 62/2021 U/S 363 IPC was registered in Police Station Kulgam and investigation was initiated. Accordingly, a team headed by SHO Kulgam Insp. Abdul Ahad under the supervision of DySP HQR Kulgam Shri. Ghulam Mohd Bhat-JKPS was constituted to trace out the kidnapped minor girl and to nab the culprit.
Utilizing all available means, with strenuous efforts specific information was generated by the investigating team which led to rescue the girl and the kidnapper was arrested.
After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl will be handed over to her legal heirs.
